We value all donations and recognise that the types of support people can offer will differ from person to person. We want the library to be accessible to all LS6 adult residents and your donations can help your library achieve this aim.
If you are able to share a donation of stuff, time or money – below are some of the ways you can get involved…
We will gratefully receive donations of items that are in good working order. Take a look at our donation guide, and see if your items is on our donation wish-list.

We have been amazed by our members generosity and we now have over 900 items in the library. Most of them have been donated ! At this moment in time we are limiting the donations we take as we are currently reviewing our stock.
If you have one of the above items or one that isn’t on our wish-list, we may still be able to make use of it, so please drop us an e-mail at lot@buynowtls6.com
Our library is fuelled by the generosity of our willing volunteers who donate time to help LS6 become more sustainable.
We are 100% volunteer run and all financial donations are used solely on the running costs and towards improving it and making it accessible.
There are a few ways to support us financially: through monthly paying memberships and one-off donations.
– To create a paying monthly membership, click here. This is really helpful as it helps us to create financial security and budget.
– To make a one-off donation, simply click the green ‘Donate Now’ button, choose an amount you’d like to donate, and then enter your card details securely.
You can also donate when you borrow items by cash or card payment in person during our opening hours.
We operate using a pay-as-you-feel model. This means you decide what you can afford. If you are financially able to, please donate what you can because our project runs from your kind donations. We have a guide to help you decide here but please note this is simply guidance, you are best placed to assess how you can support our library.
However, if you can afford to do so, a financial contribution helps us to make the library affordable and accessible to all.
DID YOU KNOW? It costs almost £1,000 per month to run the library with the main costs being room hire, insurance, repair costs and volunteer expenses.
